Question for Teachers:
Should teachers use generative AI tools to help with lesson planning and classroom preparation?

Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, MagicSchool AI, and similar platforms are becoming more common in education. These tools can help teachers brainstorm lesson ideas, create writing prompts, develop rubrics, generate quiz questions, modify reading passages, and design differentiated activities for students at different learning levels.

However, the use of generative AI also raises important questions. How can teachers make sure AI-generated content is accurate, appropriate for students, and aligned to standards? Should AI be used only as a starting point, or can it become a regular part of instructional planning?

As a teacher, what is your opinion? Do you believe generative AI can be a helpful planning tool, or do you think it creates concerns for instruction? How would you use it responsibly in your classroom?
